Sian Thomas is a senior education strategist and consultant with leadership experience spanning international education, transnational partnerships, vocational and higher education, and social value strategy. Her focus is on using education and skills development as a driver for lasting social and economic change, working across the charity, public and private sectors in the UK and internationally.
Sian has a strong track record in social value strategy, having led education-focused social value programmes that have been instrumental in securing significant public sector contracts and funded projects. Alongside this, she is a specialist in transnational education with deep expertise in TNE partnership development for vocational and HEI contexts, education export strategy and programme delivery across the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Her broader consultancy expertise spans programme design and quality assurance, awarding body and regulatory compliance, capacity building for education institutions, green and sustainability skills, employability and workforce planning.
Sian holds an MA in Development Education from UCL Institute of Education and is an NED of the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) and Sow the City. She combines strategic and financial acumen, including a history of delivering department-level financial turnarounds, with a genuine commitment to ethical partnership and education for social impact.
