Jose has over 20 years’ experience in international development in Asia, Africa and the UK. He has a wide ranging background within the development sector with extensive experience within public health skills, HE, vocational and capabilities-based education initiatives. His work has spanned charitable, public and private sectors and he has a track record of securing and grant managing multi-million dollar projects to support SDGs. In addition to his expertise in the development sector, he is also an entrepreneur within the agriculture sector, having successfully started and grown his own ethical agricultural business venture.
Jose’s expertise includes programme management, institutional donors, strategy formulation, grant management, donor compliance, proposal development, staff management, public health, programme design and monitoring, public-private partnership, targeted CSR initiatives, NTDs, humanitarian work, disabilities, complex international project delivery, donor engagement and research.
Jose was awarded a national citation for service to the community for years of volunteering in the Philippines and served as a VSO volunteer on a DFID and Ministry of Health project in Nigeria. His focus today is on supporting sustainable development initiatives with a particular focus on education and vocational skills as a means to transform society and the lives of beneficiaries.
